The Climate Congress 2017, convened by Allied Academies, is an event which brings together international academic scientists, young researchers, and students to share experience, gain and evaluate emerging technologies in climate change/global warming. The main theme of the conference is “Innovative research Supporting effective responses to climate change”.

The G20 summit under the German Presidency will be held on 7 and 8 July 2017 in Hamburg. The 20 heads of state and government and top-level representatives of international organisations will meet at Hamburg Messe, the city’s exhibition and trade fair centre.

The 9th Africa Carbon Forum (ACF) will focus on how engagement between State and non‐State actors can be further strengthened in the key sectors for Africa (energy, agriculture and human settlements), including the role of future carbon markets to achieve enhanced climate action, towards the goals of sustainable development.

The theme of ECCA 2017 is "Our Climate Ready Future". The vision is that this conference will inspire and enable people to work together to discover and deliver positive climate adaptation solutions that can strengthen society, revitalise local economies and enhance the environment. We will bring together the people who will deliver action on the ground – from business, industry, NGOs, local government and communities – to share knowledge, ideas and experience with researchers and policymakers.

How do we shift and scale up the financing needed to turn the ambitions of the Paris Agreement into reality? Nearly all countries are committed to implementing their national climate strategies or NDCs as a part of the Paris Agreement on climate change. According to the World Bank Group, the investment needs embedded in these plans amount to US$23 trillion in emerging markets alone, representing a significant opportunity to grow the global economy.

The 46th session of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) and the 46th session of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) under the UNFCCC will convene during the first sessional period of 2017.  

This 4-day event will explore ‪these issues through a series of films, events and art works and consider these important questions: Who will be affected and when? What are the experiences of people forced to move? Who, ultimately, is responsible and what should be done? 

The complexity of climate change means that appropriate approaches, methods and tools to communicate the problem and its various ramifications are urgently needed.

The “World Symposium on Climate Change Communication” will focus on “communicating climate change across society”, hence providing a platform for reflections on climate change communication research and practice.

The 1^st International Conference on Climate Change (ICCC) 2017 aims to continue climate action momentum in 2017 by providing a platform to exchange ideas and discover new opportunities. For this, it brings together those involved in research and development activities in climate change mitigation, vulnerability, and adaptation, nationally and internationally, thereby bridging the gap between government & non-governmental organisation.
