The 6th Asia-Pacific Climate Change Adaptation Forum is scheduled to convene in Manila, the Philippines, from 17-19 October 2018.
The Closing Event for the exhibition “Environment, Conflict and Cooperation” (ECC) in Lima takes place on 1 December 2016 at the Pontifica Universdad Católica del Peru (PUCP). The ECC exhibition visualises the growing impact of global environmental change on our world and, in particular, on South America.
"Climate Change: We Are All Responsible" is an event organised by the Delegation of the European Union in Brazil, WWF-Brazil and the Fundação Planetaría of Rio de Janeiro in partnership with Prefeitura do Rio de Janeiro, the Brazilian Ministry of Environment, the EU Member States in Brazil and their cultural institutions.
To support Africa's towards better preparedness for COP21, this year's conference theme is "Africa, climate change and sustainable development: what is at stake at Paris and beyond?". The event will be convened at Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe from 28-30 October 2015.
The Latin America and Caribbean region is particularly vulnerable to some of the most challenging aspects of climate change – sea-level rise affecting coastal cities, changes in precipitation impacting agriculture, glacial melting threatening water reserves. Population trends – like migration and urbanization – can exacerbate these challenges or, in some cases, serve as methods of adaptation.
