The workshop is offered by EcoPeace’s Program for Water Security to connect EcoPeace’s experience in the Middle East with the capacity building needs of civil society organizations coping with conflict, poor governance and water insecurity worldwide. Through the Program for Water Security, EcoPeace seeks to create long-term partnerships with civil society organizations worldwide and create a global network of environmental peacebuilders.

Chile's rich environment has been increasingly suffering under extreme weather events and contamination. Climate mitigation and adaptation plans throughout the world can help curb this trend, and 2nd Climate Week Chile seeks to gather these initiatives under one roop to discuss and exchange.

The German Federal Foreign Office and adelphi co-organized the side event “Global Resilience Agenda: A Foreign Policy Perspective on the SDGs” on 17 July 2018 at the High Level Political Forum 2018, which took place in the German Permanent Mission in New York. The event sought to deepen the understanding of the SDGs and geopolitics and the particularities of each region. A range of high-ranking officials from the UN and national governments joined the event, as well as experts from academia and civil society.

The Exhibition on Environmnent, Conflict and Cooperation (ECC) highlights the unprecedented environmental pressures and climate extremes that the world faces today. It was recently updated to encompass topical issues of sustainable development and peace, including the 2030 Agenda. adelphi's ECC Exhibition is shown during the HLPF 2018 by the Permanent Mission of Germany to the United Nations with support by the German Federal Foreign Office as part of the Climate Diplomacy Initiative.

The European Sustainable Development Week (ESDW) is an initiative to facilitate the organization of activities that promote sustainable development across Europe. On this occasion, 10 embassies in Berlin, Germany, are engaging with the 2030 Agenda on the theme "Diplomacy for Sustainability" and organising innovative events around the SDGs.

The 2nd Global Adaptation Network Forum addresses some of the most pressing challenges for climate change adaptation. It provides an opportunity for decision makers, policy experts and practitioners to share knowledge and experiences on how to address these challenges. 

From 7-13 February 2018, the 9th Session of the World Urban Forum takes place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. adelphi’s experts will convene different workshops and provide their inputs on how to implement the New Urban Agenda.

The “Symposium on Climate Change and Droughts Resilience in Africa” will focus on “building resilience to climate change and droughts in Africa”, meaning that it will serve the purpose of showcasing experiences from research, field projects and best practice to foster climate change adaptation among countries in the region, with a focus on droughts, which may be useful or implemented elsewhere.

The “Environment, Conflict and Cooperation” (ECC) exhibition visualizes the dramatic and growing impact of global environmental change. It demonstrates how climate change can threaten the security of the Asian continent, and showcases how climate, environment and sustainable development cooperation can contribute to stability and peace.
