Chile's rich environment has been increasingly suffering under extreme weather events and contamination. Climate mitigation and adaptation plans throughout the world can help curb this trend, and 2nd Climate Week Chile seeks to gather these initiatives under one roop to discuss and exchange.

The German Federal Foreign Office and adelphi co-organized the side event “Global Resilience Agenda: A Foreign Policy Perspective on the SDGs” on 17 July 2018 at the High Level Political Forum 2018, which took place in the German Permanent Mission in New York. The event sought to deepen the understanding of the SDGs and geopolitics and the particularities of each region. A range of high-ranking officials from the UN and national governments joined the event, as well as experts from academia and civil society.

The Exhibition on Environmnent, Conflict and Cooperation (ECC) highlights the unprecedented environmental pressures and climate extremes that the world faces today. It was recently updated to encompass topical issues of sustainable development and peace, including the 2030 Agenda. adelphi's ECC Exhibition is shown during the HLPF 2018 by the Permanent Mission of Germany to the United Nations with support by the German Federal Foreign Office as part of the Climate Diplomacy Initiative.

The Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue has proven to be an ideal platform for an international public and private audience to come together to discuss viable concepts for the ongoing transformation of the energy sector – the Energiewende.

The 2nd Global Adaptation Network Forum addresses some of the most pressing challenges for climate change adaptation. It provides an opportunity for decision makers, policy experts and practitioners to share knowledge and experiences on how to address these challenges. 

WSCC 2017 aims to build a bridge between disciplines, sectors and different groups of stakeholders, the conference will serve as a platform for discussions towards water secure societies by providing a stimulating environment with the intention to yield innovative ideas and grounds for implementation.

The 9th Africa Carbon Forum (ACF) will focus on how engagement between State and non‐State actors can be further strengthened in the key sectors for Africa (energy, agriculture and human settlements), including the role of future carbon markets to achieve enhanced climate action, towards the goals of sustainable development.

Integrated and inclusive implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, Paris Agreement, the New Urban Agenda, and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda is crucial. The Interconnections conference will convene leading scholars, leading experts, and policy makers from relevant fields to exchange ideas and to build bridges between sustainable development and climate change.

The T20 Africa Conference will bring together opinion leaders from think tanks and universities in Africa and the G20 countries to further promote the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The key objective of the conference is to discuss options about what future cooperation between the G20 and Africa could and should look like.
