The International Conference on Climate Security in the Asia-Pacific Region was initiated by the Republic of Korea and held in Seoul on 21-22 March 2013. It was the third of the international climate security conferences aimed at finding foreign policy responses to climate risks, following events in Berlin and London. This documentation provides insights into the proceedings and the main results.

Resource consumption has grown exponentially over the past: between 1970 and 2010, the quantity of extracted materials has tripled. Not only the overall amount of resources extracted and consumed has risen rapidly, but also the diversity of resources has grown.
