Climate Change is a wake-up call - Interview with Paula Caballero

Climate change is a wake-up call to do development differently, says Paula Caballero, who has been appointed Global Director, Climate Program of the World Resources Institute in 2016.

This interview was conducted at the Planetary Security Conference in The Hague, 5-6 December 2016.

"Climate change is often described as a threat multiplier but there are real opportunities for early action in both tackling climate change from both mitigation and adaptation perspectives and the SDGs are a very unique lens through which to enable our societies and our economies to adopt multi-stakeholder, multi-sectoral approaches that can really most effectively address the very complex development challenges that we are facing. So climate change should be a very useful wakeup call to do development differently in a way that empowers communities, in a way that builds resilience into our ecosystems and builds resilience into our economies."
